These rules apply to all participants, known informally as "members," and not solely Voting Members. Voting Members maintain additional rules of conduct presented in the Membership Agreement.
Members are expected to represent the group professionally and honestly in the local and wider film community. This includes maintaining a respectful and collaborative attitude in all interactions with fellow screenwriters and industry professionals. Our group acknowledges that personal and professional conflicts may arise within our community, but while participating in a NWA Screenwriters Collective meeting or event, all personal disputes should be addressed elsewhere.
Members are obligated to maintain the privacy and confidentiality of all discussions, ideas, and storylines shared within the group. Any information shared within the group should not be disclosed to outsiders without the explicit consent of the involved parties.
Members may provide constructive feedback to fellow writers when a collaboration is agreed upon or when a meeting is specifically designed to provide feedback. This feedback should be respectful and geared towards helping other members improve their work.
The group is committed to fostering an inclusive and respectful environment where differences in writing style, genre, and perspective are valued, both online and in-person. Members should be respectful of varying viewpoints and approaches to screenwriting. Any harassment or disrespectful comments or behavior will not be tolerated.
Members are encouraged to collaborate and network with other members for mutual benefit, such as co-writing projects and other opportunities for collaboration. However, Members may collaborate and network at their own discretion.
Members are expected to comply with all local laws and regulations pertaining to screenwriting, filmmaking, and intellectual property rights.
Membership and/or participation may be terminated if a member consistently violates these rules, or engages in unprofessional or unethical conduct. Termination will be at the discretion of the group leadership (sitting President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer). "Member" or "Membership" within these rules is representative of all members, participants and/or guests to this Facebook page, as well as meetings and events, both online and in-person.
